CityU SCOPE Professional Diploma in Tax Advisory 2024

  Dear Members and Students, We are pleased to inform you that the new intakes of the Professional Diploma in Tax Advisory programme jointly offered by The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong and CityU School of Continuing and Professional Education (SCOPE) has started. Upon completion of this Programme, you are eligible to apply for exemptions from Paper 2 “Hong Kong Tax” and Paper 3 “International Tax” of the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) Qualifying Examination organised by the Institute. You can also enjoy a one-off waiver of examination fee for sitting Paper 4 “PRC Tax” and Paper 5 “Advanced Taxation Practice” within two years after completing the Programme. Nominations are now being sought for an Election of Eight Members to the Council 2023 (“the Election”). Pursuant to Article 62 of the Institute's Articles of Association, at each Annual General Meeting to be held after 2017, one third of the elected members of Council for the time being or (if their number is not 3 or a multiple of 3) then the number nearest to but greater than one third shall retire and be eligible for re-election. The elected Council Members to retire pursuant to the preceding sentence shall be those persons who have been longest in office since their last election, but as between persons who became elected Council Members on the same day those to retire shall (unless they otherwise agree among themselves) be determined by lot. Majority of the Inland Revenue Department’s offices to complete relocation to Kai Tak

The Inland Revenue Department announced on 5 January 2023 that the relocation of most of the offices of its units and sections currently located at the Revenue Tower, Wan Chai, to the newly built Inland Revenue Centre at 5 Concorde Road, Kai Tak, Kowloon, will be completed by next Monday (9 January 2023).
