Mr. Webster Ng, President of The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong, will share his insight on how companies should develop their tax management strategies.

Mr. Jonathan Lo, Partner, HR Transformation Lead, People & Change Advisory, KPMG, will speak on how employers and human resources professionals capitalise on the technology to improve work effectiveness under COVID-19. He will also inspire us with valuable findings on the latest KPMG HR New Reality Pulse Survey 2020.

A BCT representative will also share the latest development of BCT’s digital journey.

Speaker Profile

Being the proprietor and founder of Webster Ng & Co., Mr. Ng is a fellow Certified Public Accountant (Practising).  He is currently the President of the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (TIHK), President of Hong Kong Institute of Accredited Accounting Technicians Limited (HKIAAT) and Council Member of The Society of Chinese Accountants and Auditors (SCAA).  Mr. Ng is member of Taxation Policy Committee of TIHK and has been awarded as Honorary Council member of the China Certified Tax Agents Association (CCTAA).

 

Mr. Ng served in various accountancy sectors including committee member of Examinations and Accreditation Committee of HKIAAT, CPA Qualifying Process Reform Working Group, Accountancy Manpower Research Advisory Panel, Small and Medium Practitioners Committee and Practice Review Committee of HKICPA, as well as SME committee member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Finance, Audit and Risk committee member of Medecins Sans Frontieres Hong Kong. In addition, Mr. Ng also served as member of Lotteries Fund Advisory Committee and ICAC CACCR Non-official Member. He was commended as Distinguished Service for Community Building Awardee in 2018.

Jonathan has a blended mix of Management Consulting and rich HR business partner experience. He has worked extensively across Asia Pacific including Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan and Australia. Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, he has cultural sensitivity and a proven track record to help clients drive the People and Change agenda focused on transforming the HR function. He has authored articles on technology- led HR transformation and a guest speaker on the future of work for HR.  Prior to joining KPMG via an acquisition in 2015, Jonathan led the HR Service Delivery Practice for Asia Pacific at Towers Watson.

 

Jonathan holds an EMBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, and a Six Sigma Black Belt from Drake International, Sydney. He has recently completed the Business Analytics Program at Harvard.

 

Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his 8 year old daughter, and a keen tennis player.
