Given that COVID -19 is changing consumer’s behavior across all spheres of life including work, learning, travel, consumption and communication, our speaker would share the topic of Hong Kong tax planning covering the consideration of the typical income and consumption change of individual and Company in response to the COVID -19 unpredicted trend.

The Exemption from Salaries Tax and Profits Tax (Anti-epidemic Fund) Order (Exemption Order) was enacted and came into force on 29 May 2020, and can be applied to salaries and profits tax from the year of assessment 2019/20 and onwards.

With the consideration of taxpayers who may be interested in capturing the latest financial assistance that is most relevant to accountants and tax practitioners, and the tax planning for businesses in response to COVID-19. The following highlights will be shared:

– Salaries tax planning during COVID-19

– Profits tax planning during and after COVID-19

Speaker Profile

Mandy possesses over 10 years of teaching experience in taxation, financial reporting, and auditing at different tertiary institutions and CPA firms including Big 4. 

Prior to joining the OUHK, she has experience in teaching tax professional exams and has worked in various tax and accounting positions in both Hong Kong and the UK.

Mandy is also a guest speaker at seminars organized by professional bodies and Education Bureau and has contributed to research projects.
