Mr. Paul Chan Mo-po, Financial Secretary of the Government of the HKSAR, delivered the 2023/24 Budget on 22 February 2023.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a downward pressure on Hong Kong’s economy in the past fiscal year. The 2023/24 Budget will focus on stimulating the economy as well as easing the pressure on the public and businesses. In the long run, Hong Kong also needs to allocate its resources appropriately and enhance its overall competitiveness.
