As most of the start-up and social entrepreneur are encountering difficulties in the process of filing taxes. Therefore, the institute and Fullness Social Enterprises Society (FSES) organized this seminar to clarify the taxation doubts of start-up and social entrepreneur, Mr Webster Ng will deliver his professional advice and knowledge on taxation based on his experience.

In this webinar, Mr Webster Ng will address to the following elements:

-Information of Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance

-Tax filing requirements

-Tax responsibilities

-Penalties & consequences of not keeping business records/ filing tax returns

-Useful information on taxation

 

On the other hand, Mr Cheng Kin Shing Douglas from FSES is going to introduce Innovator Farm (IF Programme). As a social innovator-centric incubation programme, Innovator Farm aims at equipping social innovators and entrepreneurs with economic capital, strategic capital, social capital and cultural capital to cross the “valley of death” on the venture-building journey and incubate more sustainable, scalable, sizable and impactful social businesses.

The programme is now opening for application to late prototype, start-up and scale-up projects. The seminar will feature several cases and examples of social innovation in practice. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about ways in which they can participate in the social innovation and entrepreneurship field, as well as funding opportunities.

Speaker Profile

Being the proprietor and founder of Webster Ng & Co. and Managing Director of AC CPA Limited, Mr Ng is a fellow Certified Public Accountant (Practising) and Chartered Tax Adviser.

Mr Ng holds the fellow member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (TIHK). He is also the ordinary member of The Society of Chinese Accountants and Auditors (SCAA) and The Association of Hong Kong Professionals.In addition, Mr Ng is the Founding member of Hong Kong Professionals and Senior Executives Association (HKPASEA).

Mr Cheng Kin Shing (Douglas) is currently the Programme Manager at the Fullness Social Enterprises Society (FSES). He is an advocator of social innovation and entrepreneurship and has always believed that social innovation and entrepreneurship can effectively solve various challenges faced by local and global communities. Prior to joining FSES, Douglas operated a social enterprise that empowered deaf youth through balloon art, and also worked for an international volunteer organization that promotes global citizenship awareness. He currently focuses on promoting social innovation and entrepreneurship at FSES.

Among all, the Innovator Farm programme, which is appointed by the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund (SIE Fund) which aims to provide comprehensive support to social entrepreneurs, has cultivated more than 70 effective social innovation projects that prevent or reduce local poverty or social isolation issues in the past three years. Douglas is also a Certified ESG Planner (CEP®); recently, he completed an executive education program on educational leadership at Harvard Business School.
